HATS is pleased to once again sponsor and support the award-winning Future City Competition as it went all-virtual in 2021.

Our own award, Most Innovative Use of Technology, went to Hokage from Austin Middle School.

Special note from our judge: 

Hokage had a very unique idea to use the planetary motion of the moon for a potential source of energy supported by a theory of how that might be accomplished with future technology. They were also the only team that considered sharing the technological benefits of regolith material from the moon by shipping it back to Earth for industrial use.
