2006 Joseph C. Moquin Award

This year, there was also a special award, a Flame of Technology as a symbol of the 2006 Joseph C. Moquin Award, given out for the first time in honor of Huntsville community leader Joseph C. Moquin. The recipient of this award, chosen from the POY nominees, was Dr. William (Bill) Craig of IEEE. Dr. Craig was chosen due to his extraordinary contributions to the North Alabama technical community. Mr. Moquin was present to deliver the award and was himself honored as a driving force behind the effort to establish a first-class research park, Cummings Research Park, in the community.
