HATS is a non-profit association of technical and professional societies in Huntsville, Alabama,  North Alabama, and South Central Tennessee.

HATS' members are local organizations, businesses, civic groups, veterans’ organizations, societies, and local community groups.

By becoming a HATS member, you will demonstrate your support of the local community and all its technical capabilities.

As a HATS member organization, you will gain a tight local network that allows you to work closely with other prominent businesses in your own backyard and collaborations that may save revenue by avoiding duplication while focusing on team efforts.

Member organizations may designate up to three individuals to be HATS liaisons.

Through HATS, local organizations, businesses, and military communities work together for mutual benefit.

Membership Class Definition

Technical Society Members. Active member organizations must be recognized non-profit professional technical, scientific, and engineering organizations or societies, incorporated or active in the region.  Representatives of active Member organizations shall have a vote at the HATS membership meetings and in all HATS ballot votes. Individual members of HATS member organizations shall be eligible to serve in any position on the HATS Board of Directors, including officers of HATS.

Associate Members. Associate member organizations must be non-commercial firms, corporations, partnerships, organizations, companies, or entities which are interested in the objectives or activities of HATS and which, by Associate Membership in HATS, may assist in fulfilling and be helped by the purpose for which HATS was formed. Associate member representatives can neither vote nor are eligible to serve as officers. They may serve, however, as directors or on any HATS committee or subcommittee.

Corporate Members. Corporate member organizations must be commercial organizations that support the mission and activities of HATS. Representatives of corporate member organizations can neither vote nor be elected to a HATS office. However, they may serve on any HATS committee or subcommittee.

Individual Members. Individual members must be local individuals who support the mission and activities of HATS. Individual members can neither vote nor be elected to a HATS office. However, they may serve on any HATS committee or subcommittee.
