The Professional of the Year (POY) banquet provides HATS member
organizations the opportunity to publicly recognize one of their own for exceptional professionalism. Each member organization selects its own POY and a HATS committee selects one of the POYs as the recipient of the Joseph C. Moquin Award. The criteria for the awards are as shown at the bottom of this page.Time: 5:30-8:00PM (dinner at 6:00PM) Place: The Westin-Huntsville 6800 Governors West, NW Master of Ceremonies Greg Screws Anchor, WHNT News Featured Speaker Tim Pickens Dynetics' chief propulsion engineer and commercial space adviser and Team leader for the Rocket City Space Pioneers Music will be provided by Ron Hackett. Volunteer hostesses will assisting. We thank them and our sponsors for their support. There has been some regrouping and rethinking, and any information you may have received before May 17 is not correct. This year we are doing things differently, which results in the price of the meal to be only $25.00 per person. Your Society can purchase a table for 8 people for $200.00. We are working out sponsorships that will allow your banner to be displayed at the event. Please select your societies POY and submit the information using the forms below by June 15, for them to be considered for the Joseph C. Moquin Award. Please provide a summary of your Societies accomplishments for the past year, which will be used to pick a Society of the Year Award. The POY Nomination Form is in Rich Text Format (RTF) and should be compatible with most word processing editors, such as Microsoft Word and Word Perfect. The Reservations Form is also in Rich Text Format (RTF) and should be compatible with most word processing editors, such as Microsoft Word and Word Perfect. Criteria for the Moquin Award:The Moquin Awardee will be chosen from among the current year's POY group (nominated by their respective member organizations) who will stand out as one who has stood above their peers by providing exemplary leadership to the North Alabama technical community.
