How you can help
Funding for the Seed Grant program derives from the donations by HATS Member
organizations, area companies, and individuals. The amount received
from donation each year is uncertain. Often more funding is requested
than HATS receives for the program. Many worthwhile and promising proposals
thus have to be denied funding.
Persons interested in helping the Seed Grant Program expand and strengthen
can do so by:
-
Volunteering to work on the STEDTRAIN Committee
-
Volunteering to organize a fund raising event
-
Bringing the program to the attention of community leaders
-
Bringing the program to the attention of professional organization leaderships
-
Bringing the program to the attention of company executives and encouraging
their support
-
Making a donation to the program
HATS is a 501.c3 organization.
Donations, therefore, are tax deductible.
Donors will receive widespread recogition in the HATS and STEDTRAIN
communications vehicles.
The STEDTRAIN Committee knows that many professional organizations allot
portions of their budgets to education. The plea therefore is made that
they consider donating some portion of these funds to the HATS Seed Grant
program in order that more proposals can be funded. An organization that
donates to the program will receive full recognition in any publicity releases
and literature on the program.
Donation checks should be made payable to HATS STEDTRAIN
and mailed to:
